Your journey begins at the Phillip Goldson International Airport (BZE). Upon arrival, you’ll need to clear customs, which typically takes around 45 minutes. If you’re in the mood, stop by the duty-free shop for a few beverages. Once you’re through, you have several options for getting to Hopkins Village.

For the fastest route, consider taking a hopper flight from the international airport to Dangriga. The flight is a short 15 minutes, offering stunning aerial views of Belize’s landscape. Once you land in Dangriga, you can pre-book a shuttle with us for the 30-minute drive to your hotel in Hopkins Village. This option combines speed with the convenience of door-to-door service.

If you prefer to stay grounded, a shuttle ride from the airport to Hopkins Village takes approximately 2.5 hours. Pre-booking with us ensures a smooth journey. The route begins on the Western Highway for about 35 minutes before turning onto the Coastal Highway at La Democracia village. The scenic drive along the Coastal Highway lasts around 45 minutes, with an exit at Hope Creek Village. The final stretch along the Southern Highway takes about 40 minutes, leading you to the Hopkins Junction. From there, it’s just a 15-minute drive into the heart of Hopkins Village.



3. Car Rental

For those who enjoy the freedom of driving, several car rental companies are available at the airport. Once you’ve completed the paperwork, you can begin your journey to Hopkins Village. You have the option to take either the Hummingbird Highway or the Coastal Highway, both offering unique views of Belize’s natural beauty.

4. Bus Transportation from Airport to Hopkins

While bus travel is the most economical option, it comes with certain inconveniences, so it’s best suited for those traveling light and with flexible schedules. The entire journey takes around 4 to 5 hours. Start by taking a taxi from the airport to the Belize City Bus Terminal. From there, board a bus labeled Dangriga/Punta Gorda Town. The bus will make several stops, including one at the Belmopan Bus Terminal, where you can use the restroom. After reaching Dangriga, the bus will continue to the Southern Highway. Your stop is at the Hopkins Junction. While buses into Hopkins Village from the junction are rare, taxis are usually available, or you can opt to hitch a ride.
